TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – Saturday kicked off the Legends for Youth Baseball camp.

More than 300 little ones from the Wabash Valley met up on Sycamore territory Saturday morning.

But it was not just about hitting home runs – kids learn life skills first hand from some Major League names.

“Youth today, they have a lot of options,” explained Scott Couger, Hanover Insurance. “To get them engaged in an early age in a sport, team atmosphere, it’s just important to build life skills.”

This year the Major League Baseball Alumni Association plans to do over 100 clinics across the country.
