Daviess County woman charged with assisting a criminal

DAVIESS COUNTY, Ind. (WTHI) – A Daviess County woman charged in connection to a Washington teenager’s shooting pleaded guilty to her charges.

Heaven Berry, 19, appeared in court on Wednesday.

She’s charged with assisting a criminal. According to court documents, Berry asked her cousin, Logan Evans, to stay at her house after he shot 17-year-old Devan Burris in December 2013.

Evans is serving a prison sentence for murder.

Berry is scheduled to hear her sentence July 7.
