TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – One local university is working to incorporate STEM concepts in Wabash Valley middle schools.

Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology held a workshop on Thursday with the goal to educate teachers on how to incorporate wind energy into math and science curriculum.

Educators learned the difference between wind mills and wind turbines and how they convert wind to energy.

Organizers say it’s important students learn these concepts at a young age.
