Terre Haute Regional Hospital made sure you were able to get just that on Saturday.

From 8 a.m. until noon on Saturday, anyone from the community could get a free skin cancer screening.

Statistics show that one in five Americans will develop skin cancer in their lifetime which is why it is important for you to stay on top of your health and to get regular checks.

“The goal is to make people aware about skin cancer. Also to make people aware that if they have skin cancer not to panic and get treatment as soon as possible…” explained Ajit Singh, M.D. Regional Hospital. “Because we can cure it and make people free of cancer.”

Terre Haute Regional Hospital has been giving free cancer screenings for about 10 years.
