VERMILLION COUNTY, Ind. (WTHI) – An autopsy was performed Tuesday on a partially decomposed body that was found in a trailer near Ladoga.
Officials report the body was found Monday at 8139 East County Road 900 South near Ladoga. But, the trailer the body was found in had been moved to that location from Clinton.
This case began on June 15 when a relative was attempting to dismantle the trailer and discovered the body.
During the investigation officials discovered on June 10 that trailer was moved from 215 North 6th Street in Clinton to the location in Ladoga.
The decomposition of the body has prevented a positive identification of the deceased, but the deceased is believed to be a middle aged white male.
There were no immediate signs of foul play, but foul play has not been ruled out.
State police and the coroner’s office will use DNA testing in an attempt to identify the remains and that will also take several weeks to complete.
The investigation is ongoing and could take weeks to complete.
