TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – A group of talented kids hopped their way into Terre Haute Monday.

The Avon Aerial Orioles showed off their jump rope skills at the Terre Haute Children’s Museum.

Members of the competitive group use jump ropes as a way to promote fitness and as a tool to engage the community.

“I know for me I love jump roping,” team member Natalie Anderson said. “I just love sharing my passion for this sport. I think it’s so unique and it’s individual and not very many people get to see it so I think it’s cool to be able to share that.”

Jumpers say that participating on this team helps encourage self-discipline, teamwork and positive body image.
