TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – Terre Haute Rex players stepped away from the diamond and into the community on Wednesday.
The college summer baseball team visited with the residents at Signature Healthcare on Maple Avenue.
Residents were able to interact with the players through conversations and being able to watch them play catch.
“It’s been a great thing,” said Kathleen Moats-Lee, activities director for Signature Healthcare. “And it’s been a big help for the residents because they don’t get to see the baseball teams live in person. So this is really awesome.”
Signature Health has more activities planned for their residents this summer including a drive-in movie and a big Fourth of July celebration.
