State Troopers on the lookout for escaped inmate

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – News 10 is continuing to follow a developing story.

An inmate scheduled to report to a halfway house in the Eastern District of Michigan failed to report.

Matthew Jay Seger was scheduled to serve the remaining three months of his sixty-month sentence at a residential reentry center in Saginaw, Michigan.

Officials from the halfway house notified the Bureau of Prisons Seger failed to report to the halfway house as scheduled.

On Thursday, at approximately 11:00 a.m.,Seger was placed on escape status and the United States Marshals Service was notified.
