Fatal fire confirmed in Knox County

KNOX COUNTY, Ind. (WTHI) – Officials have confirmed one death in a Thursday morning fire in Knox County.

At about 10:12 this morning firefighters were dispatched to a pole barn fire on 2632 S. Sievers extension road.  When crews arrived they had a working fire.

“Upon investigation we did find an individual in the building and at this time the coroner’s office is working the case, based upon the individual we found inside the building,”  said Vincennes Township Fire Deputy Chief, Eddie King. “At this time it is determined to be a fatal fire.”
