Fight sends Bicknell man to Evansville hospital


BICKNELL, Ind. (WTHI) – One Knox County, Indiana man was arrested on felony aggravated battery charges following a Wednesday fight in Bicknell. Police say the incident sent Austin Hoke, 23, to an Evansville hospital with head injuries. Police told News 10 Saturday, Hoke was still recovering.

Dakota Godfrey, 19, of Knox County was arrested shortly after the incident. It happened in front of a home in Bicknell. Police say they’ve also arrested one juvenile in connection with the crime and are seeking another juvenile for questioning.

Bicknell Police told News 10, it wasn’t immediately clear what led to the fight, but that the suspects and victim could have known each other prior to the incident.

Godfrey faces charges including B felony aggravated battery and disorderly conduct.
