One airlifted after crash on US 40

SEELYVILLE, Ind. (WTHI) – A Friday afternoon crash in Seelyville leaves two people injured.

Officials say a car being driven by 19-year-old Michael Riddle of Avon, Ind. was driving eastbound on US 40.

Riddle, making a left hand turn went into the path of a car being driven by 87-year-old Laurette Bellamy of Bloomington, Ind.

Riddle was not injured in the crash.

Bellamy was taken to Union Hospital in Terre Haute with what is believed to be non-life threatening injuries.

A passenger in Bellamy’s car, 81-year-old Marian Krajewska of Bloomington was airlifted to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis with what is believed to be serious internal injuries. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
