“Car and Bike Show” benefits Wabash Valley Habitat for Humanity

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – On Saturday afternoon many were able to enjoy antique cars, bikes, and trucks, all while giving back.

The 2nd Annual “Car and Bike Show” was held at Show-Me’s Sports Bar and Grill in Terre Haute.

All proceeds benefited the Wabash Valley Habitat for Humanity.

The organization builds affordable homes for veterans and low-income families in need.

They are currently working on two homes in the area.

The construction can total more than $60,000 per house.

Just one reason fundraisers are crucial.

“It’s really important because we provide housing for low income families who otherwise could not afford to purchase a house, It gives them a decent place to live at a low mortgage, and we charge 0% interest,” said Annette Houchin, Executive Director of the Wabash Valley Habitat for Humanity.

They are also in need of skilled workers and volunteers.
