TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – A group in the Wabash Valley were dancing for a cause.
The Indiana Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation hosted “Just Breathe” Saturday night.
It’s an adult prom meant to help raise money for cystic fibrosis awareness.
Volunteers, families, and supporters got all dressed up to join in on the fun.
The event also featured a silent auction.
Organizers say it was a great way to spread their message.
“The CF foundation receives no federal funding. All of the dollars raised are from donations. And that’s why its very important that we raise the funds,” said Bonnie Ritchey, a volunteer for Indiana’s chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Health experts say 693 people suffer with cystic fibrosis in the state of Indiana.
