PAOLI, Ind. (AP) — Indiana State Police say they’ve captured the third and final suspect wanted in connection with a double slaying in southern Indiana.

They say 35-year-old John Carpenter of Marengo was arrested about 9 a.m. Sunday in a barn in Harrison County, about 25 miles west of Louisville, Kentucky.

Carpenter had been wanted since Wednesday, when a warrant was issued charging him with murder in connection with the fatal shootings of 56-year-old Nicholas Fields and 25-year-old Corey Michael Harris, both of Paoli, at a mobile home north of that city.

Police say troopers set up a perimeter around the barn overnight and found Carpenter during a morning search of the barn. Carpenter was captured without incident and transported to the Orange County Jail in Paoli, about 45 miles northwest of Louisville.
