Summer food program extended in Vigo County


TERRE HAUTE, Ind (WTHI) – Free meals are being extended here in Vigo County this summer, and there are more locations to choose from.

On Monday, the Vigo County School Corporation, along with the Summer Food Service Program, announced plans to continue offering free meals to all children ages 18 and under.

These meals will be served from July 14th through July 31st, Monday through Thursday.

Sarah Scott Middle School will only serve lunch from 11:30 a.m. to Noon.

The following Elementary schools will serve breakfast and lunch.

Davis Park Elementary
DeVaney Elementary
Deming Elementary
Farrington Grove Elementary
Franklin Elementary
Fuqua Elementary
Meadows Elementary
Ouabache Elementary
Sugar Grove Elementary
Terre Town Elementary
West Vigo Elementary

Breakfast will be served from 8 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and lunch will be served from 11:30 a.m. to Noon. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
