Arrest made in south side stabbing

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – 7/3 UPDATE: Dorthera Wills was arrested Wednesday night after police responded to 25th and Margaret on reports of a stabbing.

Police reported the victim, Herman Nolan, was in an argument with his sister and Wills. When officers arrived they found Nolan cut on his side.

Wills was located two blocks from the scene on a moped. Officials stated she dropped a knife when she was stopped.

Nolan was treated and released from Regional Hospital.

Wills was arrested on preliminary charges of battery with a deadly weapon. She is in the Vigo County Jail on $25,000 bond and will be in court next Wednesday.


7/2: One person is in custody after a stabbing on Terre Haute’s south-side.

It happened Wednesday night at 25th and Margaret Streets.

Police tell News 10 that after an altercation, one person was stabbed.

Police have one person in custody in relation to the incident.

There is no word on the extent of the injuries.

No names are being released at this time.
