Guys Who Give make big donation

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – A $14,000 donation on Tuesday will help provide food and help for the poor and hungry in the Wabash Valley.

The group called “Guys Who Give” presented the check to Catholic Charities late Tuesday afternoon.

The money will help Catholic Charities with an ongoing campaign to purchase and remodel a building near the Terre Haute Airport.

The building will triple the food bank’s square footage.

“Well, it would enable the food bank to have capacity to process and distribute substantially more volume of food,” Earl Elliott, from Guys Who Give said.

The group formed just a few months ago.

The 140 members agreed to donate money to establish a fund for an organization they choose.

They make substantial donations to a different group four times a year. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
