Officials asking for help in 34 year murder case

VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTHI) – Wednesday is the 34th anniversary of the disappearance and murder of Gloria A. Hedden.

The Vigo County Sheriff’s Officer stated Hedden, 29 at the time, was reported missing by her husband to the Terre Haute Police Department after she failed to return home after getting off work on July 9, 1980.

She worked at the Post Office Annex on South 13th Street in Terre Haute. Three days later fishermen located Hedden’s body in the Wabash River.
