Pair jailed in latest meth lab bust

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – Two people arrested in connection to an active meth lab appear in court.

A tip from the public led Indiana State Police and the Vigo County Drug Task Force to the lab on 4th Avenue in Terre Haute.

Police also found evidence of previous meth labs besides the one that was active.

Police arrested 26 year old Shawn Ash and 35 year old Carla Bealmear.

Each faces preliminary charges of meth manufacturing, possession of chemical reagents, and maintaining a common nuisance.

Ash could also be charged with false informing and had a previous warrant for his arrest.

Both are back in court on Wednesday. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
