Parke Co. man pleads guilty to 2013 Rosedale murder


PARKE COUNTY, Ind. (WTHI) – A man has admitted to a murder that happened in Parke County last June.

Earl Edwards pleaded guilty to his original charges of murder, criminal confinement and theft.

Police found 55-year-old Kathryn Bays dead in her Rosedale home. She died of blunt force trauma to the head.

Sentencing for Edwards is set for Aug. 29 and he faces 45 to 65 years in prison. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
