Festival turns Terre Haute blue

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – Downtown Terre Haute turned a little blue Thursday afternoon.

The annual Blueberry Festival brought blueberry eaters to the Central Presbyterian Church located at 7th and Cherry Streets in Terre Haute.

They served all day Thursday, and folks could buy a blueberry sundae or a quart of blueberries.

This was the 6th year for the downtown Blueberry Festival.

The celebration included live music, several vendors, and new this year…a way to enjoy blueberries and be good to the environment.

“We are offering the opportunity if they would go into their kitchen cabinet and get one of their own bowls and spoons, and bring it on down, we’ll put ice cream in it…and they get an opportunity to sign up for the give away of a water barrel from the soil and water conservation project,” Holly Hudson said.
