VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTHI) – The suspect at the center of Wednesday’s stand-off in Seelyville will be in court next week.

Manuel Rivera, 19, was arrested after surrendering to police.

The Vigo County Sheriff’s Office stated Rivera was upset after not being allowed to see his son. Rivera’s employer contacted the Sheriff’s Office saying he had made threats to the company and employees there.

Police recovered an AK-47 and a handgun following Rivera’s arrest. Detectives are checking for additional weapons Rivera may have.

He’s being held on $35,000 bond.
