Overnight Vincennes fire ruled suspicious

VINCENNES, Ind. (WTHI) – Officials are ruling an overnight house fire at 741 9th Street in Vincennes as suspicious.

The Vincennes Fire Department responded to the home around 10:30 p.m., Tuesday night. A witness told News 10 flames were visibly showing through the homes windows and entry ways when fire fighters arrived on scene.

The home, which is owned by Good Samaritan Hospital, was set to be demolished Wednesday. According to the fire officials, the home did not have functioning utilities. Vincennes Fire Investigators put crime scene tape around the home early Wednesday morning.
