Junior Achievement of the Wabash Valley turns 50


TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – A Wabash Valley service organization is celebrating 50 years of helping kids.

Junior Achievement of the Wabash Valley turned 50 years old on Thursday. They hosted a luau at the Ohio Building in Terre Haute to commemorate their anniversary.

Junior achievement has invited volunteers past and present, as well as kids who have benefitted from their services.

“It touches so many people in this community. The phone calls that I have received over this 50th anniversary from alumni has been overwhelming,” described Peggy Murdock, Junior Achievement.

Junior Achievement teaches economics to school children.
