Man at center of Seelyville standoff facing 4 felonies

SEELYVILLE, Ind. (WTHI) – A man at the center of a standoff in Seelyville is now charged with four felonies.

Manuel Rivera faces felony charges of intimidation, criminal recklessness and pointing a firearm. The Vigo County Sheriff’s Office told News 10 Rivera was upset after not being allowed to see his son.

Great Dane contacted the Sheriff’s Office saying Rivera had made threats to the company and employees there.

Police recovered an A-K 47 and a handgun following his arrest.

Rivera has filed a bond reduction request with the court and is being held on $35,000 bond.
