Four involved in crash during Annual Governor’s Motorcycle Ride

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Four people were involved in a crash during Friday’s Annual Governor’s Motorcycle Ride.

Around 500 American Bikers Aimed Toward Education members participated in the 141-mile long ride that started at the Statehouse Friday morning. The crash occurred just before the final stop in Madison County.

Governor Pence was not involved in the crash.

Pence released this statement regarding the incident.

“I was saddened to learn that there was a crash involving several riders in today’s ride. Our prayers are with those who were involved in the crash and with the first responders who are attending to them. We are grateful to these Hoosiers and to all who participated in the Governor’s Annual Motorcycle Ride in support of our National Guard families.”

Indiana State Police will investigate the crash. Police had not released any information about the conditions of those injured as of Friday evening.
