Storms pushing out, still chance overnight

WABASH VALLEY, Ind. (WTHI) – UPDATE: All Severe Weather Warnings have expired in the Wabash Valley. We still have a strong line of storms pressing east.
A lot or rain and lightning and redevelopment is possible heading into the overnight.

Strong to severe storms for our evening as a cold front pushes through and collides with our warm moist air mass.

The Storm Prediction Center has placed Central Illinois to Central Indiana in a Slight risk this evening and through the overnight hours.

What that means for you is when this cold front approaches we will have a line of storms develop, our main threat with these storms will be damaging wind and hail.

Current window of time looks to be between 6 p.m. and midnight. However, instability continues through the evening into the overnight, so we can’t rule out the chance for a strong to severe storm during the overnight. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
