Officers investigate death at Cataract Falls

OWEN COUNTY, Ind. (WTHI) – Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating a death at Cataract Falls Sunday night.

That’s in Owen County.

Officers say it happened around 4:00 Saturday afternoon.

Witnesses told officers a man stumbled and fell over a cliff near the falls.

Paul Diblasis died from his injuries.

He was visiting his girlfriend from Ohio.

Officers say he fell about 26 feet and landed partially in the water. Witnesses helped him from the water and tried to help until medical units got there.

There’s no more information about this incident at this time from officials.
