Riding the July temperature rollercoaster


TERRE HAUTE, IND. (WTHI) – Chutes and ladders, it’s a children’s game that we’ve been playing with our weather this summer. Up and then back down.

Here is our rollercoaster of a ride in July (picture above). We’ve experienced a daytime high only reaching 71 degrees one day and 88 another. Our current average so far this month has been 81 degrees. That’s nearly 7 to 8 degrees below average.

The next six to ten days follows suit, and our probability according to the Climate Prediction Center is pretty high for below average temps.
