TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – It’s time to honor not one person, but a group of people here in the Wabash Valley who has dedicated their lives to helping local children.
Inside the walls of Ryves Youth Center you’ll find a group of people working together to make a difference in the lives of children and adults on a daily basis.
Jim Edwards, Jim Pinkstaff and Gina Dickens are like one big family – a trio devoting their lives to helping those who need it most.
But while at Ryves, Gina Dickens serves as a cook, one of many hats she wears so kids can find a good meal when they might not be able to at home.
Local children also learn the importance of education. Jim Pinkstaff serves as the educational coordinator for the center.
They’re not just volunteers, or mentors…they’re the small village working to help make a difference.
Ryves Youth Center is always looking volunteers. You can stop by at 1356 Locust Street in Terre Haute or call at (812) 235-1265.
