Restaurant giving back to local kids

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – One local restaurant is joining forces with an organization to give back to the community.

Grand Traverse Pie Company and Vigo County CASA kids are working together.

Grand Traverse donated a check to CASA Wednesday afternoon.

They even made CASA the beneficiary of their birthday celebration last week.

If you purchased a pie lately, you helped the cause too.

Five cents of each pie slice was given to CASA.

“I really like the things they do for disadvantaged youth here in Vigo County, you know, I chose to partner up with them. This is a longstanding deal, we’re going to be a part of this program,” Stephen Huddleston from GT Pie said.

Grand Traverse presented a check to Vigo County CASA for more than $1,100.
