Musical Petting Zoo at the Terre Haute Children’s Museum

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – It’s a petting zoo that plays to a different tune. The Musical Petting Zoo will take place at the Terre Haute Children’s Museum on Friday.

The museum, along with the Wabash Valley Musician’s Hall of Fame, is hosting the unique event that allows kids to get their hands on and play real instruments.

Museum officials say it’s a fun way to explore music.

“Any time the kids can get to play on the instruments themselves, they really enjoy it,” described Rachael Nickel, Terre Haute Children’s Museum. “So we’re excited to be doing this again.”

The petting zoo will be available from 2 until 4 p.m. and will cost you $5 to get in.

There will be a variety of instruments there for you to see and try. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
