Portion of monument honoring fallen soldiers stolen

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – Authorities need your help in recovering a piece of history.

A portion of a monument honoring fallen soldiers from the battle of Fort Harrison has been stolen. That monument is located near The Landing in northwest Terre Haute.

Terre Haute Police need your help in recovering the stolen artifacts and identifying their suspect.

That suspect is described as being a white male, 5’10” to 6’0″, in his 30’s – 40’s and a thin build. He was seen driving away from the scene in a late 90’s, silver Dodge Avenger with a loud exhaust.
