WABASH VALLEY, Ind. (WTHI) – Wabash Valley residents got to take advantage of free dental care on Saturday.

Aspen Dental is on a mission to give Americans a healthy mouth. So, they joined up with Oral Health America to provide care to thousands of people in need across America.

“Dental care is something that is extremely important for your overall health picture, and so being able to give quality care to patients who otherwise might not have access to that is so important,” described Stephanie Landess, Aspen Dental.

Last year 100 million Americans went without the proper care. Dentists offered free services at the Terre Haute and Vincennes offices on Saturday.

Officials say they’re happy they can help.

“We feel very blessed to have the privilege to be able to do this for our folks and it’s really something we enjoy doing,” explained Aaron Phillips, Aspen Dental. “And we appreciate people coming out to utilize our services.”

Aspen Dental officials say the interest in free dental care was overwhelming and they weren’t able to treat everyone.

But, they were able to treat around 20 patients at the Terre Haute location. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
