WESTFIELD, Ind. (WISH) — A Westfield man is facing multiple charges after moviegoers said he exposed and touched himself during movies after sitting near children.

John Thomas Brown, 68, was charged this week with performance before a minor that is harmful, theft, public indecency and public nudity.

The incidents happened June 22 at the Regal Theater on 146th Street. According to court documents, Brown purchased a ticket for the movie “How to Train Your Dragon 2″ and part of the way through it he left and went to “The Fault in our Stars” without paying for another ticket.

Adults told theater management and police that Brown sat next to their children or grandchildren and began to touch himself. In one case, a grandparent said he was touching his granddaughter’s leg, as well.

Brown denied the allegations in interviews with police. Police officials said his lips were turning white and he was sweating a lot while being interviewed.
