Indiana State athletic director Ron Prettyman Wednesday night confirmed to Sports 10 that women’s basketball head coach Teri Moren has been contacted by Indiana and is a candidate for the open IU position.
The Lady Hoosiers lost their head coach Curt Miller unexpectedly less than two weeks ago when he resigned for personal health and family reasons.
In four years at ISU coach Moren is 69-57. The 2014-2014 season was her best at Indiana State. She guided the Lady Sycamores to the Missouri Valley Conference regular season championship and the programs first 20-win season in eight years.
In a statement to Sports 10 Prettyman had this to say about IU’s interest in Coach Moren. “We hire good people, other people notice. Its a nice problem to have. I don’t blame Teri for her interest, but hope she’s our coach for a long time.”
