Pending board approval, Fay Spetter named THN baseball coach


TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – Sports 10 has learned that pending Vigo County School Board approval, Fay Spetter next week will be named the new baseball coach at Terre Haute North.

Spetter has been a Patriots assistant coach for the last 22 years.

He is a Terre Haute North graduate and was a starting catcher on the schools only state baseball championship team back in 1974.

Spetter takes over for Shawn Turner who stepped down at the end of the season after 17 years.

This past season Turner guided North to the Class 4A state championship game.
