Ivy Tech fills two positions for newly merged region

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WTHI) – Ivy Tech Community College has named who will fill two positions for the newly merged Wabash Valley (Terre Haute) and Southwest (Evansville) region.

René Hankins has been named the executive director of Outreach and Rachel Nadeau has been named the executive director of Marketing and Communications.

Hankins will oversee all K-12 partnerships (including dual credit and Early College initiatives) and regional instructional sites.

She has been with Ivy Tech since 1998 and has held multiple positions through the years. She is also a graduate of Indiana State University.

As Executive Director of Marketing and Communications, Nadeau will manage all marketing, public relations and communications for the newly combined region.

Nadeau joined Ivy Tech in 2007 as Executive Director of Marketing & Communications.

She has experience including working for the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, as well as work in California and working with Goodwill Industries.

“I am confident that Rachel and René will work as a great team to boost our visibility in the community and enhance our recruitment efforts,” said Ivy Tech Chancellor Jonathan Weinzapfel. “They have both demonstrated great talent and a deep commitment to Ivy Tech’s mission and its students.”
