TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – Indiana State University faculty and staff were welcomed back in style on Thursday.
The annual Fall Fiesta took place at the Student Recreation Center at ISU amid a sea of sombreros.
Officials say it’s a great chance to meet new colleagues, enjoy lunch and maybe play a few rounds of corn hole.
They also think this is a great way to get re-energized for the upcoming school year.
“What I tell people around here is if you can’t be excited and ready to go for the first few days of the semester, you probably need to find a new job because this is as good as it gets,” said Dr. Dan Bradley, ISU President.
About 1,000 ISU faculty and staff filtered through the picnic on Thursday. Classes start for students in less than a week.
