Muncie police search for woman missing since June

MUNCIE, Ind. (WISH) — Police in Muncie said on Wednesday they were searching for a woman missing for nearly two months.

Officers taped off an area near downtown Muncie and spent hours at a home there.

Police confirmed their search was for 25-year-old Brianna DiBattiste of Dunkirk. She left her home June 16 and hasn’t been seen since.

Officers have not said much, including if they think there was foul play or not.

Muncie police searched Wednesday afternoon and into the evening in the 300 block of South Council Street. It wasn’t immediately clear as to why they were searching that area or inside a home there.

According to the website Missing Persons of America, there is a $5,000 reward being offered for information that helps find Brianna. There is also a GoFundMe site titled “Help Us Find Brianna.” In the last the last 29 days, they’ve raised $845 toward search efforts.

Brianna is 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighs 110 pounds. She has long brown hair and hazel eyes and a heart tattoo on her upper right arm that says “torn.”
