Two arrested on I-70 after large amount of stolen tools found


VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTHI) – A routine traffic stop on Interstate 70 Tuesday morning ended with two arrests for stolen property.

Just before 8 a.m. an Indiana State Police Trooper pulled over an SUV near the 3 mile marker for going 80 in a 65 mph zone.

The Trooper found a large amount of stolen tools inside the vehicle. Officials report the two men were traveling from Michigan to Illinois and the tools had been stolen overnight from Ewing Electric, Inc. in Michigan.

Stolen items included several electric construction type hand tools, rolls of electrical wire and carious other construction and domestic related equipment.

Donald King, age 39 of Centralia, and C. Graham, age 36 of Centralia, were both arrested for possession of stolen property.

Both were taken to the Vigo County Jail. The investigation is continuing in Michigan and additional charges are expected from the State of Michigan.
