VINCENNES, Ind. (WTHI) – On Wednesday there was a gas line rupture on Daleview Drive in the north part of Vincennes.

Vincennes Fire Department was not allowing anyone in the sub division until Vectren was able to shut the gas line off. Residents were told to stay in their homes and no evacuations took place.

The situation is now under control, but there was a very loud hissing noise for about 30 minutes making some residents uneasy. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
