SOUTH HAVEN, Ind. (AP) — Authorities in northwestern Indiana say the deaths of a brother and sister in their 60s found dead inside the apartment they shared appear to be natural, although the investigation is continuing.

Porter County sheriff’s deputies were called to the home in the community of South Haven on Thursday after a son of one of the victims discovered the bodies. Coroner Chuck Harris told The Times of Munster on Friday afternoon that the deaths were not homicides.

Sixty-eight-year-old James Foster was found on the kitchen floor of the kitchen and his 64-year-old sister, Janelle Morales, was found on the living room floor. Harris called the case “unusual.”

Harris says the two might have been dead since Saturday.
