TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – Wabash Valley families get some help with their grocery bills…by the gallon.

The Prairie Farms company is donation 11,000 gallons of milk to 22 food banks.

Here in Terre Haute The Catholic Charities Food Banks received 500 vouchers…or coupons for those in need.

Families can take those coupons to the store to get a free gallon of milk.

“And really, these milk coupons come at a great time of the year for us, and for those families with children, to be able ti bring more highly nutritious milk into those homes,” Jennifer Buell from Catholic Charities said.

“But locally, Terre Haute has always been good for Prairie Farms, and this is just a little small way of returning some of that,” Arlon Smith from Prairie Farms told us.

This is the second year Catholic Charities has teamed up with Prairie Farms.

Both organizations say they look forward to continuing their partnership.
