TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – If you live in Vigo County and you need to get rid of some unwanted household items, listen up!

The Vigo Solid Waste Management District is holding its annual Tox Away Day and White Goods Collection Day.

It’s a one-day event aimed at helping you get rid of items like paints, fluorescent light bulbs, old refrigerators and water heaters.

It’ll take place Saturday, September 17th at the Vigo County Fairgrounds from 8:00 a.m. through 2:00 p.m.

You’ll have to show proof of residency to leave your items behind.
