Police investigating late night shooting that was reported at Harrison Apartment complex


TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – An investigation is underway into a late night shooting in Terre Haute.

Just after 11 Thursday night, officers were flagged down near 25th and Hulman by people in a silver SUV.

They were requesting medical assistance for one of their passengers who had been shot.

Occupants of the SUV told officers the shooting happened in the 2500 block of south 25th Street at the Harrison Apartment complex.

As other officers were headed to the complex, dispatch received a call about a white SUV that was seen leaving the area of the shooting and the subjects inside possibly being involved.

The vehicle was stopped and its occupants were being questioned by detectives.

The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment but the extent of the injuries is not known at this time.
