Alzheimer’s Walk raises big money

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – A weekend benefit walk raises big bucks for a tragic condition.

On Saturday, over 500 people took part in the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s Walk in Terre Haute.

Participants took part in a 1.3-mile walk on the Veteran’s Memorial Mile trail near Memorial Stadium in Terre Haute.

Last year’s event raised $42,000.

Organizers say this year, they increased their donations by 28 percent.

The total was over $54,000.
