TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – Two causes mesh into one for the Vigo County Public Library.
On Wednesday, a public art project made up of 300 pinwheels was unveiled.
The project celebrates Indiana State University’s sesquicentennial while creating awareness of International Peace Day.
Throughout the summer, the Community School of the Arts worked with the community to create the pinwheels.
“They move with the wind, they’re unique, if you get up close you’ll see each one is different. It’s all ISU related. You’ll see Sycamore Sam in there…you’ll see newspapers and magazines that have been glued on,” Petra Nyendick, the Director of the Community School of the Arts said.
You can check out the display on the lawn of the library until September 30th.
