TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – Community Theatre of Terre Haute is just beginning its 90th anniversary celebration. And this week, the theater opens its first production of the season.
It’s a comedy called “It’s Only a Play.”
The plot follows actors, a director and playwright who are waiting for reviews after their opening night. The director of this show says his cast enjoys the community aspect of community theater.
“It’s just fun seeing people like you and me onstage doing the best they can entertaining,” explained Bill Carper, director. “And every night it is different and its fun…it’s just fun.”
Part of the fundraising effort this season at the theater is to work to expand the parking lot.
“It’s Only a Play” runs two weekends and be aware it is rated PG-13 for strong adult language.
