Scheduled hearing continued in Clinton neglect case; new date not set


VERMILLION COUNTY, Ind. (WWTHI) – The father arrested in connection with a child neglect case out of Clinton had been set to be sentenced on Thursday. But, that hearing has been continued.

Four children were removed from the home on Vine Street in Clinton in October of 2015.

John Woolley, the father, has been charged with four counts of neglect of a dependent resulting in serious bodily injury. All four family members plead guilty to the crimes.

Mother Danielle Woolley, Grandmother Barbara Jo Woolley and Grandfather Gordon Woolley have been sentenced. They will each spend decades behind bars.

John Woolley was scheduled for a sentencing hearing Thursday morning, but according to court documents, the hearing has been continued.

At last check, a new date has not been set.
